Why Support Arts and Athletics Club?
Free Performance Opportunities for ALL
Arts and Athletics Club provides theater opportunity for middle school, high school, and adult participants. There are no registration fees for these programs so everyone can have the opportunity to build creative skills, regardless of income level. Similar programs in the area can cost from $300-$750.
Participants in the program learn skills in creative thinking, teamwork, public speaking, memorization, and more. We service over 100 families/year
Creative Skills, Original Work
Arts and Athletics Club is the only organization in the area that focuses on original work. That means that the productions chosen are written and produced right in the community. By doing this, all participants get unique experiences that they will not get elsewhere. Participants have the opportunity to have more creative freedom and participate in the creative process. Youth participants even have the opportunity to write their on play in the playwriting workshop
Using the Arts to Help Community
Because we focus on original productions, we have the ability to build projects around issues that surround our community. Our 2022 and 2022 impact project was In My Head, the Mental Health Musical. The goal of this project was to show what mental health looks like an let people know that they are not alone. You can read about the project here. Alongside our musical, we were able to connect with local organizations to put together a resource fair to assist with mental health awareness.
